Germany: PhD and PostDoc positions in Applied and Computational Mathematics
Funded within the FP 6 of the European Union, the Marie-Curie ResearchTraining Network COMSON on “Coupled Multiscale Simulation and Optimization inNanoelectronics” (MRTN-2005-019417) is offering positions for PhD students andPostDocs at the level of early-stage researchers (ESR) and experiencedresearchers (ER). Topics range from modelling and analysis to numericalsimulation of coupled problems in an industrial framework. The networkconsists of three companies (Infineon Technologies, Philips andSTMicroelectronics) and five university nodes (Bucharest, Catania, Calabria,TU Eindhoven and Wuppertal) based in Germany, Italy, The Netherlands andRomania.
Applications are invited for four ER and six ESR positions with appointmentsfor four and three years, respectively. The appointments will be
- at ER level: U of Wuppertal & Infineon Munich (Dynamic iteration schemes forcoupled systems), Philips Eindhoven (MOR), STM Catania (Optimization) and U ofCalabria (E-Learning);
- at ESR level: U of Wuppertal (MOR and PDAEs), U of Bucharest (2 x MOR), U ofCatania (Analysis of coupled systems) and TU Eindhoven (Optimization and MOR).
Applications for one of these positions should be sent with a CV by 30November 2005, to:
