Canada: Postdoctoral Fellow on Nonlinear Optical Microscopy
Job description:
INRS-EMT (http://www.emt.inrs.ca) is a research centre located near Montreal, focused on fundamental and applied sciences and offering education at the graduate level. The centre is also the host of the Advanced Laser Light Source (ALLS), a Canadian-based international laser research facility using state-of-the-art ultrahigh intensity, femtosecond laser systems.
The object of the present project is to utilize the various lasers available at the INRS to explore and develop a nonlinear optical microscope, with specific applications to ophthalmology.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics, engineering or a related field. Strong background in lasers and nonlinear optics is an absolute requirement. Experience in nonlinear optical microscopy is strongly preferred. The working language is French, but knowledge of English is essential. The position is awarded for a two-year term.
