WorlWide: Prize for Best First Article in Spanish or Portuguese History
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONSThe Society for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies (SSPHS) PRIZE FOR BEST FIRST ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN 2003, 2004 OR 2005
The Society for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies (SSPHS) Prize for Best First Article, consisting of a certificate and an honorarium of $100, will be awarded at the Society’s annual meeting in Lexington, Kentucky, in April 2006. Articles may be in Castilian, English, Catalan, Galician, Portuguese or French. Articles in other languages will be considered if the original is accompanied by a full-text translation into Castilian, English, or Portuguese. Only articles that appeared within the calendar years indicated will be eligible for consideration. Submissions should include the following:
(1) a copy of the publication (photocopies are acceptable);
(2) a copy of the journal’s contents page showing the journal title, volume, and date; and
(3) the author’s resume, including current address. Please send complete materials to EACH member of the prize committee below. The final deadline for submissions is January 15, 2006.
