EADI Prize for Development Studies 2006

The European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes(EADI) is offering a prize for excellence in development research. Theprize, worth €1 000, will be awarded for an essay on an issue ofdevelopment studies in any field of the social sciences submitted andwritten by a postgraduate student from an EADI member country orattending a programme at an institutional member of the Association.

Subjects may be chosen from any field of development studies, butcontestants are asked to bear in mind that their work will be subject toscrutiny by one of the EADI Working Groups prior to being sent on to thejury. Entries coherent with Working Group themes will, therefore,clearly enjoy an advantage. A list of the Working Groups can be found onthe Association website.

Entries for the EADI Prize for Development Studies should be essays ofbetween 5 000 and 7 000 words submitted double line-spaced in 11-pointtype. Entries can be written in English or French. Each entry should beaccompanied by a two-hundred-word abstract and a CV. Entries must besubmitted by email.
