Expanish offers university students an unconventional approach to studying abroad in South America! We expand the student experience beyond just the classroom by providing local cultural integration through fun workshops, volunteering, internships, weekend excursions, homestays, and daily activities with native South Americans outside of the traditional collegiate setting. Expanish offers a variety of flexible programs for university students wishing to study for a few weeks up through a full year abroad. Students are free to change program end and start dates, allowing them to expand their abroad experience by continuing their volunteer work or internship and further develop relationships with local friends and host-family members. We prioritize catering to individual participant needs, and can arrange for students to study in multiple cities and countries including Buenos Aires, Bariloche and Ushuaia in Argentina, Quito in Ecuador or Santiago in Chile.

Expanish puts a strong emphasis on providing students with the opportunity to study abroad; thus we have created several scholarship opportunities to aid our participants in their endeavor.

Expanish offers two scholarships during January term, and two during May sessions, equal to the equivalent of 25% of the student’s program. Scholarships are need-based, and students can download application materials from the Expanish website.
