TheSampoerna Foundation Overseas MBA Scholarship Programis a means togroom Indonesia's future business leaders. Sampoerna Foundationprovides the qualified individuals the opportunity to pursue a Masterof Business Administration degree at leading business schools overseas.Upon completing the program, scholars are expected to return toIndonesia and endeavor to transfer their knowledge to their fellowcitizens.

CONDITIONS OF AWARD
Theinformation contained in this document is intended for the SampoernaFoundation Overseas MBA Scholarship Program, pertinent to the 2006intake only.
I. Basic Eligibility
Applicant must satisfy ALL of the following conditions:
- Applicant must be an Indonesian citizen.
- Applicantmust hold a Bachelor degree in any discipline from an Indonesiantertiary institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of3.25(on a 4.00 scale)
- Applicant must be under 35 years of agewhen lodging the application.
- Applicantmust have a minimum of two-year full-time professional work experienceafter the completion of their undergraduate degree before submittingthe application.
- Applicantwho is currently enrolled in graduate or post-graduate program orschool, or has already obtained a Master's degree or equivalent is noteligible to apply.
- Applicantwho was enrolled or graduated from an overseas tertiary institution isnot eligible to apply unless his/her study overseas was on a fullscholarship.
- Scholarshipswill not be awarded to anyone in receipt of another equivalent award orscholarship offering similar or other benefits at the time of the award.
- Applicantmust be able to demonstrate they are from financially disadvantagedfamily and that without the scholarship he/she will not be able tostudy for an overseas MBA program.
Applicant also must satisfy the following conditions for each specific program:
Sampoerna Foundation (SF) MBA in the US Scholarship
- Applicantat the time of lodging the application must have valid proof (validityof two years) of an International TOEFL with a minimum score of 600(paper based) or 250 (computer based), OR an Institutional TOEFL with aminimum score of 610.*
- Applicantmust have valid proof of a GMAT test scores above 600with verbal scoreto be 25or above, OR a TPA with a minimum score of 650 at the time oflodging their application.
Fulbright - SF MBA in the US Scholarship
- Applicantat the time of lodging the application must have valid proof (validityof two years) of an International TOEFL with a minimum score of 600(paper based) or 250 (computer based), OR an Institutional TOEFL with aminimum score of 610.*
- Applicantmust have valid proof of a GMAT test scores above 575with verbal scoreto be 25or above, OR a TPA with a minimum score of 650 at the time oflodging their application.
Australian Education International (AEI) - SF MBA in Australia Scholarship
- Applicantmust have valid proof (validity of two years) of International EnglishLanguage Testing System (IELTS score) at the time of lodging theapplication: IELTS minimum 6.5 or an equivalent TOEFL score of 580, ORan Institutional TOEFL with a minimum score of 610.*.
- Applicantmust have valid proof of a GMAT test scores above 575 with verbal scoreto be 25 or above, which is still valid at the time of lodging theirapplication, OR a TPA with a minimum score of 650.
Ambassade de France en Indonésie - SF MBA in France Scholarship
- Applicantat the time of lodging the application, must have valid proof (validityof two years) of TOEFL with minimum score of 580, OR an InstitutionalTOEFL with a minimum score of 610.*
- Whenapplicable and necessary, applicant must have valid proof of a GMATtest scores above 575 with verbal score to be 25 or above, at the timeof lodging their application, OR a TPA with a minimum score of 650.
- Finalistshall have to take language course in the appointed institution by SCACand pass the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) Level 1 (A1,A2, A3, A4)
British Council (BC) - SF MBA in the UK Scholarship
- Applicantat the time of lodging the application must have valid proof (validityof two years) of IELTS (International English Language Testing System)with a minimum score 6.5 or a TOEFL with a minimum score of 600, OR anInstitutional TOEFL with a minimum score of 610.*
- Applicantmust have valid proof of a GMAT test scores above 600 with verbal scoreto be 25 or above, at the time of lodging the application, OR a TPAwith a minimum score of 650.
*All applicants selected as Finalists must have a valid GMAT andInternational TOEFL/IELTS with the aforementioned minimum score asrequired by each program. Finalists who fail to do so willautomatically be dropped from the selection processII. Further Requirements
- Scholarshipsare only available to those who wish to study for a master degree inbusiness management (MBA) at leading business schools in the UnitedStates of America, Australia, United Kingdom, or France respectivelythat are recommended by Sampoerna Foundation.
- Applicant must demonstrate leadership potential.
- Applicant must demonstrate interest in and commitment to community and national development.
- Applicantmust be willing to attend the selection process conducted by SampoernaFoundation and the examinations conducted by the recommendeduniversity(ies).
- Applicantmust meet the requirements for obtaining a proper student visa of thedesignated country upon acceptance for the scholarship.
- Scholarshiprecipient must be willing to return and work in Indonesia for 5 (five)consecutive years upon completion of study to contribute the skills andknowledge gained for the development of the country.
- Scholarshiprecipient must be willing to participate in the Alumni ContributionScheme, and in any other mandatory programs and activities as describedherein or in the future.
- Applicantmust be willing to comply with the application for scholarship rulesand regulations as stipulated by Sampoerna Foundation, partnerinstitution for each respective program, and the university.
III. Nature of award
1.The scholarship's worth is approximately between USD 70,000.- to USD150,000.- per student, depending on the country and university, for theduration of study. This covers the following:
- GMATand TOEFL reimbursement, one time only, based on original invoice, forGMAT and TOEFL taken no more than 6 months prior to the scholarshipapplication;
- University application fee, for up to 2 (two) universities;
- Student visa application fee;
- Return airfares from Jakarta to the place of study;
- Tuition fees, for the duration of study;
- Living allowance, to support living costs during period of study;
- Literature allowance, to purchase textbooks required for study.
2. The scholarship is intended for full-time / regular class study only. Part-time study / executive class is not allowed.
3.Scholarship recipient is not permitted to undertake any form ofemployment at any time during the course of study, unless suchemployment is allowed under the student visa obtained.
IV. General Procedures
SampoernaFoundation actively seeks candidates with proven financial need inachieving their educational goals, who are outstanding young peoplewith a commitment to the development of society.
Interested applicants should complete the application form, which can be obtained from Sampoerna Foundation's website (www.sampoernafoundation.org ). The form can also be requested by sending an e-mail to info@sampoernafoundation.org , or obtained directly from the Sampoerna Foundation Office. Alternatively, applicants may apply on-line at this website.
SampoernaFoundation will consider completed applications only, and will notifythe short-listed applicants to attend the continuing stages of theselection process, which includes panel interview, group discussion,presentation and character assessment. A joint independent selectioncommittee comprising competent individuals will assess the qualifiedapplicants.
a. Application procedures
Interestedapplicants who meet the requirements must complete and return theapplication form along with the necessary supporting documents, toSampoerna Foundation by 30 June 2005.
Whenapplicable, the supporting documents must be certified by university(for school transcripts), public notary or other relevant authorizedparties / individuals as true copy of the original. Please do not sendany original documents. Sampoerna Foundation will not be responsiblefor handling and returning original documents, but does reserve theright to request the provision of original documents if necessary.
Applicant may obtain, complete and submit the application through any of the following methods:
1. On-line Application
- Applicant will be required to fill in the standard application form on-line at Sampoerna Foundation's website.
- Applicantneeds to ensure that he/she has filled out the mandatory data fields inthe on-line application form. The system provides automaticnotification if required information has been omitted.
- Applicant may complete the Personal Statements section on-line or on separate sheet(s) of paper.
- Applicant should use the standard reference form which can be downloaded from Sampoerna Foundation's website.
- Applicant should prepare all the supporting documents and send them by post to Sampoerna Foundation.
- Theon-line application will only be considered upon the receipt of allsupporting documents, including the personal statements (if notcompleted on line) by the deadline.
- Applicantwho has already submitted the on-line application form is not obligedto submit the application form in hard copy format. However, should theapplicant is short-listed, he/she will be required to sign a printedcopy of his/her application form.
2. Paper-based Application
- Theapplication form (in Microsoft Word or PDF format) and reference form(in Microsoft Word or PDF format) can be downloaded from SampoernaFoundation's website.
- Applicant may also request a copy of the application form by sending an e-mail to info@sampoernafoundation.org.

- Certifiedcopy of Academic Transcripts — Certified copy of Academic Transcriptsfrom the last education institution (Undergraduate Degree)
- Photographs — Three (3) recent passport-size (4 x 6) photographs
- Family Card (KK) — A certified copy of family card (Kartu Keluarga)
- Proofof Monthly Expenses — A copy of the last three months of residenceelectricity bill (if owning a house or living with parents) or a copyof lodgings/ boarding house (kos) payments
- ID card — Copy of birth certificate and/or personal ID card (KTP/Passport)
- SKKB(Surat Keterangan Kelakukan Baik) / SKCK (Surat Keterangan CatatanKepolisian) — Letter of Good Conduct: an official letter from localpolice department stating that applicant has never been involved in anycriminal or illicit drug activities
- TOEFL/IELTS — Copy of valid TOEFL result (International / Institutional Testing Program - ITP only) or IELTS
- GMAT/TPA — Copy of GMAT/TPA result
