World Summit Youth Award is the youth-for-youth awards program which WSAis undertaking together with the WSIS Youth Caucus and with the supportof the Internet Soceity / ISOC.

WSYA is an international competition for youth-led (under 27 years ofage) projects that bridge the content gap in the emerging InformationSociety. It is the first global “youth for youth” initiative; promotingbest practice in e-content and technological creativity anddemonstrating young people’s potential to create digital opportunities.

WSYA is showcase to the world for young designers, technologists ande-content creators and contributes on a global scale to reducingpoverty, protecting the environment, sharing knowledge and empoweringmarginalized young people.

The WSYA Categories are Development, Creativity & Culture and CommunityEngagement and the online application process at www.youthaward.org isopen until midnight (GMT) on September 18, 2005. Winners and finalistswill receive travel fellowships to showcase their online platform at aWSYA Gala Event and Workshop to be held in Tunis for the Summit phase II.
